In your role as Warehouse Manager you will be leading a team of 7 people, and be responsible for organising an efficient, cost effective and safe off-loading, storage and distribution service to ensure that the service and quality requirements of each and every customer are achieved on an ongoing basis. You will also ensure the efficient use and maintenance of all equipment and machinery, whilst providing a safe working environment for all employees and visitors.

Your responsibilities as the new Warehouse Manager will include:

Train, organise and motivate a competent warehouse team.

Prioritise, allocate and monitor the workload to ensure material is always processed for delivery to customers on time.

Improve efficiencies in the warehouse regarding the effective use of staff resources (inc overtime), warehouse space & racking.

Ensure safe working practices are maintained at all times, working to the Company Health and Safety Policy.

Operate efficient and clear systems and procedures and regularly monitor these to ensure all staff are both aware of and adhere to the standards expected.

Carry out the agreed maintenance of all plant and machinery on a regular basis to ensure that it is operating safely and to maximum efficiency.

Continually develop your personal skills and knowledge to improve the effectiveness of your role.

Planning & Organising: Organises & plans workload to ensure objectives are met and changing priorities are accommodated. 

Quality Standards: Understanding of QM Systems and knowledge of local objectives and procedures appropriate to the role.

Health & Safety: Up-to-date knowledge of Statutory and local Health & Safety procedures.
