Volunteering is a great way to not just use your skills and experience to support your community but also make new friends and build your network whilst you job search. Or you could be at a stage in your career where you can commit some regular time as a volunteer.
Naomi House Retail Shops are in the heart of the community and there is an opportunity for everyone to help. Whether you want to gain customer service experience, training on using the till, helping to keep the shop stocked and looking clean and tidy, or helping behind the scenes, there are lots of opportunities. It’s a great way to support your local children’s hospice! All volunteers must be aged 18 and over.
Tasks will include, Serving Customers, checking all garments are suitable to be sold, steaming clothes, helping to keep the shop stocked, keeping the shop tidy and helping with the overall day-to-day running of the shop.
Training is on-going is ongoing and you'd be supported by the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager and Volunteer Services.
Hours are usually 9.30-1pm or 1-4.30pm but there is the option to volunteer all day. Volunteering is to suit individuals so timeframes are flexible.
