The role is Monday to Friday and has an early Friday finish.

As the Toolroom Setter you will be:

  • Fully understanding the manufacturing plans and being able to action those plans accordingly through the operators as required.

  • To ensure that mould tools are safely installed, and machines are properly set, so that the products being manufactured are in accordance to the Specification Sheet and control sample.

  • Ensuring the correct materials and stocks are available in good time for manufacture.

  • Maintaining and improving the working environment and shop floor organisation of products, materials and documentation.

  • Support queries and questions in regard to material or product issues and obtain support from the necessary personnel to help resolve in a timely fashion.

  • Communicate daily with the Business Development Manager and report any deviations to plan 

  • Support operators in all manufacturing processes to achieve best performance and best manufacturing practices. 

  • Providing on the job training and performance management to all operators under the responsibility of this role

  • Undertaking some elements of people management for all operators under the responsibility of this role; including return to work meetings, investigations and other tasks where necessary.

To become the Toolroom Setter you will have:

  • Previous experience as a Toolroom Setter or background in plastic injection moulding

  • Strong demonstrable leadership abilities

  • Good understanding of general manufacturing practices and procedures

  • Good organisational skills and able to work to deadlines

  • Knowledge and ability to use manufacturing systems such as MRP with strong understanding of its importance in the business
