Temporary Purchase Ledger Assistant

Temporary Purchase Ledger Assistant - Amesbury - £14-16 per hour - Part Time 15/20 hours per week. 

We are looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to support our client on a temporary basis, initially for one month with the strong possibility of extension up to four months. This is a part-time role offering 15 - 20 hours per week, and we are happy to discuss and agree on working days and times to suit the right candidate.

What You'll Be Doing at the Temporary Purchase Ledger Assistant

  • Processing and coding supplier invoices accurately and efficiently

  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies

  • Managing the purchase ledger and maintaining up-to-date records

  • Preparing and processing payment runs

  • Liaising with suppliers and internal teams to resolve queries

  • Supporting the wider finance team as required

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role

  • Good working knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel

  • A keen eye for detail and strong numerical accuracy

  • Able to hit the ground running with minimal supervision

  • Good communication skills and a proactive, can-do attitude
