We are looking for an experienced Technologist to join this forward-thinking manufacturing business based in Salisbury. Previous experience with food processing/manufacture is essential along with good organisational skills and a degree level or equivalent qualification in food science, technology or nutrition as you will be facilitating the production of safe, innovative and quality assured food.
As the Food Technologist, you will play a key role in each stage between concept handover and product launches.
Some of your tasks will be dealing with sample submission forms, specifications, trial and launch information and will see you working alongside colleagues in the Technical, Operations and Engineering teams. You will also advise on timings of achievable Customer information completion dates, check artwork and packaging as well as ingredient specifications ensuring any non-compliance with the specification is reported and followed up.
Other tasks as Food Technologist will include:
Ensuring any changes to recipe or process are communicated to all stakeholders.
Identify, investigate and manage selected projects to support the increase in Technical knowledge of the business.
Ensure suitable, representative and appropriate testing methods and parameters for product components and finished products are documented as required.
Identify and implement opportunities to reduce costs across the site.
