Our client based in Salisbury, Wiltshire is looking to recruit a Supplier Quality Engineer. This is a full-time permanent role, working 37.5 hours Monday to Friday.
As the Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be working collaboratively with suppliers to develop and implement best practices in order to emphasise defect prevention, reduction in variations and waste to meet all product requirements.
On a day to day basis, you will be responsible for collecting root cause analysis in order to provide corrective feedback and ensure that all products meet quality standards, develop SPC methodology to ensure process capability, complete supplier and performance, resolving non-conformance issues and follow-up actions in order to work with the supplier to create correction action plans.
You will also work as part of the project teams responsible for product launches to ensure compliance with established standards and to secure the high level of craftsmanship expected of our products.
- Previous experience working in a similar role
- Lean sigma or Green belt as well as audit trained
- Knowledge of quality management systems as well as metrology, inspection methods
- Engineering degree or equivalent qualification would be beneficial.
As the successful candidate, you will need to be willing to travel regularly within the UK as well as outside of the UK on occasions.
