We are really excited to be working with this brilliant business that works across the South of England but has their Head Office in Salisbury. We are supporting them with the recruitment of a Quantity Surveyor (qualification is not essential) who will work on local projects.
Normal office hours are Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-4.30pm and salary is £45,000-£50,000 per annum depending on skills and experience
The successful Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for ensuring job portfolio and cash flow is managed, that work is correctly valued and applied in a timely manner both through interim applications and preparation of Final Account. You’ll also be managing and tracking client variations, to ensure work is brought into programme and that the additional work is managed with the subcontractors and that profitability is maintained.
Understanding the scope of the contract and the pricing basis, to ensure work is completed within budget, to do monthly cost reports and identify risks to profitability will be an important part of the Quantity Surveyors role.
The skills and experience we are looking for in the new Quantity Surveyor include previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the glazing or the construction industry. Confidence in dealing with internal and external personnel of all levels and the ability to hold your ground and offer reasoned advice in a fast paced environment
Experience is key here and qualifications are not essential.
