Do you have solid experience of using excel and past planning based experience? Then this new Production Scheduler may be the role for you! Applications welcome for candidates looking for full or part time hours - although type are fixed days.

In your role as Production Scheduler you will be producing plans that balance the needs of running an efficient manufacturing system whilst satisfying customer demand.

The Key Accountabilities of your role will be:   

  • Manage and maintain planning data and system parameters SKU’s, including the completion, distribution and communication of daily production schedules and shift plans to the manufacturing team.

  • Liaising with other departments to include time for regular maintenance and deep cleaning as needed, whilst ensuring customer service levels are maintained.

  • Production planning to maximise output to available capacity.

  • Liaise with the management and manufacturing team on a daily basis to plan and react to progress to deliver the customers expected service level and update them on any potential stock issues.

  • Process of customer orders, reviewing schedules and re-issuing where needed.

  • Communicate and where necessary action changes to stock schedule following changes in sales figures

  • Ensure live stock figures are reviewed and accurate within the stores and production areas, including finished product stock levels.

  • Maintain finished goods inventory that generate customer service levels of 99.6% or better, whilst ensuring write off of finished goods, due to short product life, is minimised.

  • Provide data and / or highlight concerns on a range of planning / production parameters such as yield or efficiency analysis.

  • Investigation and communication of customer shortages, including production of daily shortage reports.

  • Provide full cover as needed for Stock Control. 

These are the essential skills we are looking for from the new Production Scheduler

  • Excellent Working knowledge of Microsoft Office – including Excel

  • Highly organised and motivated

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Literacy and numeracy skills to GCSE level or equivalent

  • Ability to adapt to change quickly and effectively

  • Ability to analyse problems, identify and manage solutions

  • Good attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a small team

  • Communication with customers and suppliers

  • and ideally, but essential, knowledge of production planning 

The full time role is a 40 hour week worked on a 4 on 4 off shift basis

The part time role is 3, fixed 12 hour days over the weekend to include either a Friday or Monday.
