We are looking to recruit a Production Engineer to join our client’s team based in Salisbury, Wiltshire. This is a full time, permanent opportunity working 37.5 hours a week.
Working as part of the engineering team you will be providing support to the Manufacturing and Engineering Manager, ensuring production is carried out to the highest quality in a cost effective and efficient way.
We are ideally looking for a candidate with a degree or similar qualification in Engineering. Previous experience of LEAN manufacturing processes is essential. You will need to be a strong team player with the ability to prioritise and problem solve. Experience using Solidworks Composer would be desirable.
As the Production Engineer, your role will involve designing new process and equipment, overseeing new product introduction, check BOMs for structure and content, develop techniques to control production environments, produce and maintain process instructions for product builds, ensure that the correct skills, tools, jigs, and fixtures are available to fulfill purpose. As a member of the NPD team, you will also contribute cross-departmentally with the successful transition of new products from design through to production.
