You will be working for a Salisbury based manufacturer as a Maintenance Engineer. In this role, you will maintain a wide range of production equipment as well as general maintenance and installation within the business. As the Maintenance Engineer you will report to the Lead Engineer but on a day to day basis have responsibility for working on your own initiative during shifts with line fault finding and process development.

You’ll be a qualified multi-skilled engineer and you will have broad experience with some gained in manufacturing and/or processing with experience of Lean/continuous improvement type environment. Previous working experience gained in an FMCG environment would also be useful.

As the new Maintenance Engineer, your key responsibilities will be ensuring production downtime is kept to 2% or below through planned preventative maintenance and quick and efficient management of breakdowns. Being involved in projects, continuous improvement, and productivity improvement projects. Delivering maintenance programmes in line with planned preventative maintenance vision.

You will also be dealing with any unscheduled and emergency maintenance work, including all fault finding and necessary repair and striving to identify the root cause as well as be responsible for ensuring the workshop and individual toolboxes are maintained to the highest standards and in line with Good Manufacturing Practise “GMP” standards.

Due to the nature of the business, the role works on a 4 on 4 off rotation.

Salary is CIRCA £40,000 per annum
