An exciting opportunity to join the Region team of Girlguiding South West England as the new Membership Support Administrator.

In your role as the Membership Support Administrator, you will provide efficient and effective administration support to volunteer members of Girlguiding South West England. You will also be the first point of contact for enquiries relating to the national recruitment system and will manage enquiries and liaise with potential volunteers; preparing reports and statistical data for the Region staff and volunteer team.

The main areas of responsibility in your role as Membership Support Administrator will include:

Full administrative support, working alongside Lead Volunteers on the preparation of proposals, budgets, planning, administration. Organisation and delivery of training sessions, events, and activities.

Attend meetings both face-to-face and virtually with volunteers and prepare minutes.

Working closely with other region staff members on the financial outcome of training, events, and activities and assisting with the administration of volunteer mandatory training and the updating of their records.

Managing enquiries, maintaining a record of enquiries received and the follow up action. This will include responding by phone, email, and telephone. Contacting prospective volunteers to discuss their registration.

You’ll also work with and support the Lead Volunteer for Membership Growth and Retention on projects.  This may involve preparing presentations, reports, statistics, volunteer training etc.

To excel in this role as Membership Support Administrator you will have experience of working in a busy office and as part of a team. You will be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and have knowledge of handling confidential data to be able to produce graphs, reports and statistics using excel. You’ll become the office expert on Girlguiding’s membership system GO, its associated reporting tools and the Subscriptions system

The ability to build and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders and the ability to work with and relate to people at all levels and backgrounds is also key.

The role is full time (35 hours per week) and based in the Girlguiding South West England’s office in Salisbury, however the team are currently moving toward a hybrid working arrangement, 3 days in the office and two days working from home. Specific working patterns will be negotiable.

There will also be the occasional requirement to work at the weekend and in the evening, for which you will be entitled to time off in lieu, to support Girlguiding South West England meetings and events.
