We are supporting a Salisbury-based manufacturer with the recruitment of an Electrical Maintenance Engineer. In this role, you will maintain a wide range of production equipment as well as general maintenance and installation within the business. As the Maintenance Engineer you will report to the Lead Engineer but on a day to day basis have responsibility for working on your own initiative during shifts with line fault finding and process development. You'd be working 42 hours across Monday to Friday in this role. 

You'll be a qualified, engineer with have broad experience gained in manufacturing and/or processing. Time served apprentice trained and electrical qualifications as well as experience of a lean/continuous improvement type environment and of working in an FMCG environment would also be useful. Mechanical engineering experience would also be really useful in this role. 

As the new Maintenance Engineer, your key responsibilities will be ensuring production downtime is kept to 2% or below through planned preventative maintenance and quick and efficient management of breakdowns. Being involved in projects, continuous improvement, and productivity improvement projects and delivering maintenance programmes in line with planned preventative maintenance vision.

You will also be dealing with any unscheduled and emergency maintenance work, including all fault finding and necessary repair and striving to identify the root cause as well as be responsible for ensuring the workshop and individual toolboxes are maintained to the highest standards and in line with Good Manufacturing Practise “GMP” standards.
