A Legal Secretary role in a great legal firm based in the heart of Salisbury and working in the Trust & Probate Team. You'll need to be proactive, a good communicator, well organised and flexible, have good attention to detail. Previous experience as a Legal Secretary isn't essential but you will need good typing and admin skills and be used to working with MS Word.
As the new Legal Secretary you'll be supporting a fee earner and other colleagues by providing a high level of secretarial and administrative support that will include:
- Fast and accurate audio and copy typing
- Drafting basic correspondence
- Relaying accurate telephone messages from clients to fee earner (taking action in fee
- earners absence if appropriate)
- Diary management (including arranging meetings and making travel arrangements when necessary)
- Email management (taking action where appropriate)
- Ensuring fee earners comply with Best Practice, Risk and Compliance and Money Laundering requirements
- Drafting bills and printing billing guides
- Dealing with file opening/closing and archiving
- Dealing with expense claims
- General office duties such as filing and photocopying
