Our client is a leading Pharmaceutical company based in Wiltshire. Using cutting-edge facilities and advanced technologies enables them to deliver high-quality products to their customers and they are looking for a Lab Technician - Clean Room Assistant to join their growing team. 

We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Lab Technician - Clean Room Assistant. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting various tasks within the laboratory and clean room facilities, including lyophilisation, cleaning, packaging, product and stock monitoring, ordering, as well as assisting with lab analysis, qualifications, and calibrations.

As the Lab Technician – Clean Room Assistant your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness within the clean room environment, adhering to strict protocols and procedures.
  • Perform regular cleaning duties to ensure the cleanliness and sterility of equipment, work surfaces, and facilities.
  • Assist with packaging tasks following specified procedures and guidelines.
  • Monitor product and stock levels, ensuring adequate supplies are maintained and reordered as necessary.
  • Place orders for laboratory and clean room supplies promptly, following established procurement procedures.
  • Support laboratory analysis by preparing samples, conducting tests, and recording data under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Assist with the qualification and calibration of laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, including the correct handling and disposal of hazardous materials.

We’d ideally like you to have the following skills and experience

  • GCSEs or equivalent qualifications required; a degree in a scientific discipline preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a laboratory or clean room environment highly advantageous
  • Familiarity with lyophilisation processes and clean room protocols beneficial
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures and guidelines.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office
