We are really excited to be working with this brilliant business that works across the South of England but has their Head Office in Salisbury. We are supporting them with the recruitment of a Junior Quantity Surveyor who will support the Senior QS on local projects.
Normal office hours are Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-4.30pm and salary is £28-£32K
The successful Junior Quantity Surveyor will be dealing with bills of quantities production and measurement and supporting with project administration, and job portfolio variations, to ensure work is brought into programme and that the additional work is managed with subcontractors.
Working with the Senior QS, you’ll develop an understanding of the scope of contracts and the pricing basis, to ensure work is completed within budget, to assist with monthly cost reports.
The skills and experience we are looking for in the new Junior Quantity Surveyor include confidence in dealing with internal and external personnel of all levels and the ability to hold your ground and in a fast paced environment, excellent IT skills and the ability to use bespoke software. Experience within construction is needed or if you are a recent graduate with a relevant qualification, that would also be considered.
