We are looking for a Head of HR with experience of working in Social Care or NHS environment with extensive employee relations and change management experience to work for a company based in the South East of England. 

Reporting to the CEO you will be leading the HR department and be required to provide expert HR, recruitment, training & development and staff welfare advice and support across the organisation. You will be responsible for guiding and supporting the Executive Team, overseeing all people-related matters, policies and programmes.

The Head of HR will be providing robust and effective leadership on policy management and GDPR in the HR context and will play a key role in devising and leading change.

As Head of HR you will be setting and managing budgets and performance measures, leading in providing Act as an escalation point, giving counsel and overseeing complex employee relations issues such as grievance and disciplinary cases and manage difficult cases with professionalism as well as recruitment and retention initiatives that support the needs of the Charity with specific emphasis on retaining key staff by promoting rewarding career paths.

You will be Degree-level qualification or equivalent with post-graduate CIPD qualification in HRM or HRD FCIPD or hold an equivalent qualification with previous HR team or department leadership experience at executive level. You’ll also have a broad experience across the range of HR functions, including recruitment, training and development, employee relations, payroll & pensions, performance and conduct management; experience of leading and implementing HR strategies.

You will have experience of working in the care/charity and/or educational setting and have had previous experience working as part of a restructuring team, possessing strong leadership qualities and confidence in working within a large corporation.

Knowledge of DBS checking, safeguarding and CQC checking is essential.
