We are seeking an experienced Finance Support Officer to join a dynamic team based just outside of Salisbury. In your new role as the Finance Support Officer, you will assist in the day-to-day running of the finance department by preparing accounts, monitoring, controlling, and reporting on any areas of the financial accounts.
Other duties as the Financial Support Officer include:
- Assisting the Financial Officer and lead in projects to improve the Finance Department’s performance.
- Reconcile and analyse key balance sheet accounts.
- Supporting other areas of the business with projects requiring finance input.
- Providing support and cover for members of the Finance Department during peaks in workflow and holidays.
- Ensuring suppliers are paid for goods and services rendered by performing the Purchase to Pay processes that fall under the Finance Department’s responsibilities.
- Supporting business-wide reviews of budgets to actuals monthly, including commentary on dashboards and issuing of results.
- Ensuring VAT compliance in the treatment of invoicing and submission of monthly VAT returns in line with HMRC guidance.
- Maintaining internal process documents for new processes and control requirements.
