We are seeking a Cleanroom Assistant to join our team. In this vital role, you will play an integral part in ensuring that the cleanroom environment is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and regulatory compliance. Your efforts will directly support the production process, ensuring a contamination-free environment that is crucial for the operations of this company based west of Salisbury near Warminster.

In this role you'll be working on-site - Monday to Friday 8-4.30 with half an hour lunch Monday to Friday. The starting hourly pay rate will be £12.50 per hour. You will have access to a modern canteen, be working in a clean, state of the art working environment and have your workwear provided!

Your key responsibilities as the Cleanroom Assistant will include:

  • Cleanroom Cleaning & Maintenance: Perform regular cleaning and disinfection of cleanroom surfaces, equipment and workstations to ensure a controlled environment. You will ensure strict adherence to cleanliness protocols and monitor for any potential issues regarding cleanliness or equipment conditions.

  • Stock Control: Manage and monitor the inventory of cleanroom supplies such as gloves, disinfectants, and garments. Ensure that stock levels are regularly checked and notify the appropriate personnel when replenishment is needed.

  • Product Handling & Processing: Assist with the handling, packaging, and processing of products, following safety and quality standards. You will prepare materials and components for production runs, ensuring all items are free from contamination.

  • Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate logs and records related to cleaning, maintenance and stock levels while ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements for cleanroom operations.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the cleanroom team and other departments to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow, assisting with special projects and tasks as directed by the Cleanroom Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a cleanroom, laboratory, or controlled environment setting is preferred, but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions meticulously.
  • Basic understanding of inventory control and product handling.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills with a strong commitment to safety and cleanliness
  • Able to lift up to 25 kilograms.
  • Comfortable standing or walking for extended periods.
  • Willing to wear cleanroom attire, including gloves, gowns, masks and other protective equipment.
